Basketball Recap: Rosewood Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wayne Christian

Rosewood scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Wayne Christian Eagles 61-55. Rosewood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wayne Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, Rosewood still got an impressive performance from Bryson Hobbs, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Those 23 points gave Hobbs a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tielen Mccrae, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Rosewood now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wayne Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Rosewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-54 victory against North Duplin on the 23rd. As for Wayne Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-55 defeat against Wayne Preparatory Academy on the 21st.
