It was a good run, but Widefield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Pueblo East Eagles by a score of 4-3. Widefield were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pueblo East apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Grace Crabtree and Lizzy Brown scored all three of Widefield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Widefield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Pueblo East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Widefield didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Pueblo South on the 1st. As for Pueblo East, they will challenge Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
