Volleyball Game Preview: Eldorado Firehawks vs. Moapa Valley Pirates

The Eldorado Firehawks will face off against the Moapa Valley Pirates at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Eldorado is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Eldorado came up short against Cheyenne and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 24-26, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Moapa Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Mater Academy East Las Vegas 3-2. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Moapa Valley was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Moapa Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Eldorado was able to grind out a solid victory over Moapa Valley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Firehawks repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
