Volleyball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short at Home Against Nordonia

Independence unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Nordonia Knights on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Independence was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Nordonia work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 26-24, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Cameron Anquillare, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Looking ahead, Independence will take on Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nordonia, they will challenge Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
