Recap: Hillman vs. Rogers City

Hillman wasn't able to find success on the road in their previous game, but the return home seemed to do them good. It was able to grind out a solid victory over Rogers City, winning 32 - 20.

Hillman's defense put the team in a good position heading into the break, holding Rogers City to a measly six points. That put Hillman at a 14 - 6 advantage. Its success only continued in the second half, where it racked up an additional 18 points.

Hillman can chalk up much of its success to the efforts of senior Caine Hunt, who ran for 211 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. Additional support came from William Kolcan, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 12 tackles.

Hillman's win is its first of the season and lifts it to 1-3. The defeat dropped Rogers City's record to 1-3.

Good luck to both teams in their upcoming games! Hillman will face off against Mio HomeSchool Friday at 7:00 PM. This meeting makes it back-to-back home games for Hillman. Meanwhile, Rogers City will battle it out against Oscoda on Friday at 7:00 PM.
