Basketball Recap: Buford Takes a Loss

Buford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-29 loss at the hands of the Cuthbertson Cavaliers. The game marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Buford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jake Milhorn, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points, and Bryce Bridges, who posted 11 points. Milhorn continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Buford's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Cuthbertson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Buford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-54 defeat against McBee on the 6th. As for Cuthbertson, they will head out to face off against Sun Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
