Soccer Recap: Amelia County Takes a Loss

Amelia County was the 9-1 winner over Nottoway when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Wednesday.

Amelia County hit Nottoway with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Josh Hunter, Abraham Zuniga, and Tommy Morgan.

Amelia County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Nottoway, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Amelia County is taking a road trip to take on Southampton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nottoway, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Cumberland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Nottoway are facing Cumberland at the right time seeing as Cumberland are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
