Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). Their defense stepped up to hand the West Marion Trojans a 7-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 3-10-2. As for West Marion, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Columbia will face off against Forrest County Agricultural at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
