Soccer Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton was the 3-2 winner over Gibson Southern when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Princeton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Gibson Southern are ranked 100th).

This is the second loss in a row for Princeton and nudges their season record down to 5-7-1. As for Gibson Southern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Princeton will face off against rival Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gibson Southern is set to take on their familiar foe Pike Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
