Recap: Charleston Math & Science Riptide vs. Bishop England Battling Bishops
After flying high against the Academic Magnet Raptors on Wednesday, the Charleston Math & Science Riptide came back down to earth. The contest between Charleston Math & Science and Bishop England wasn't particularly close, with Charleston Math & Science falling 54-38. Charleston Math & Science lost against Bishop England in their previous head to head last Saturday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-42 score last time.
Charleston Math & Science's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Montrell Davis, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Grant, who scored 7 points.
Charleston Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bishop England, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Charleston Math & Science will stay at home for another game and welcome Hanahan at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Hanahan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Monday. As for Bishop England, they will head out on the road to face off against Wando at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wando is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
