Volleyball Recap: Riverview Academy Takes a Loss

Riverview Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Universal Academy Falcons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 8th.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-20.

Universal Academy can attribute much of their success to AlAA Simrin, who had five digs and five aces.

Riverview Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Universal Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Riverview Academy and Universal Academy will both be playing Bayshore Christian the next time they take the court. The Falcons will host the Faith Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Barracudas will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
