Recap: Grand Valley Cardinals vs. Aspen Skiers

The Grand Valley Cardinals lost against the Aspen Skiers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grand Valley had to suffer through a rough 67-36 loss at the hands of Aspen. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Grand Valley in their matchups with Aspen: they've now lost seven in a row.

Trey Teter and Andrew Horner certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Teter scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, while Horner scored nine points. Teter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Among those leading the charge was Giovanni Seeman, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Henry Hurd was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Grand Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Aspen, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Grand Valley will be playing at home against Gunnison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gunnison will be up against Grand Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.31 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Aspen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Moffat County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aspen is coming into the contest with nine straight wins at home, so Moffat County is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
