Appling Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wayne Christian Academy Eagle.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Appling Christian Academy took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-9.

Bella Gray paced Appling Christian Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Gray were helped by Brailey Hulett and Annaleigh Carter, who contributed two assists each. Gray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Appling Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wayne Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Appling Christian Academy and Wayne Christian Academy will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. The Eagle will head out to face Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
