Volleyball Recap: Paxton Tigers vs. Wynot Blue Devils

Paxton and Wynot squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Paxton had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Blue Devils. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-11.

Addison Holm paced Paxton's offense, picking up three kills. Holm got some help from Cayla Peterson and her four assists. Peterson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Jaylin Geisen was a one-woman wrecking crew For Wynot. as she had 24 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Geisen has posted since back in October. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiera Heimes, who had eight aces.

Paxton's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Wynot, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Paxton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wynot, they will face off against Red Cloud at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
