After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Perry, Waynesfield-Goshen was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Ridgedale Rockets 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Jace Kaufman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
