Tehachapi has won four straight games at home, while South has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Warriors will host the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Tehachapi's victory against Golden Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 8-7 on Thursday.

Cadence McIrvin made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on McIrvin Aidan, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mya Gil, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Tehachapi kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a classic North v. South duel when South faced off against North on Thursday. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Stars 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted against the Stars since May 6, 2024.
Like Tehachapi, South also got a great game from a two-way player: Sienna Lopez. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Lopez was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Zowey Estrada was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
South's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Tehachapi, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Tehachapi hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like South struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Tehachapi was able to grind out a solid win over South in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 12-8. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
