Baseball Recap: Bennington Gets the Win

Bennington proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Savanna Bulldogs 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since March 10th.

Bennington's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Savanna, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Coming up, Bennington will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wapanucka at 4:00 p.m. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.33 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Savanna, they will challenge Warner at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
