Baseball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for San Tan Charter

San Tan Charter had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt North Valley Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Roadrunners blew past the Lions 18-6. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Braden Peasel made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, San Tan Charter got a massive performance out of Bairyk Schulte, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Schulte hit this season. Dillon Wildrick was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.

San Tan Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory (which was San Tan Charter's seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for North Valley Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-13-1.

Coming up, San Tan Charter will be taking part in a tournament against Williams at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Roadrunners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will welcome Highland Prep West at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The HORNETS have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.08 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
