Softball Recap: Michigan City Wolves vs. South Bend Riley Wildcats

Michigan City extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 17-1 to the South Bend Riley Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Michigan City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ann Sawyer, who went 1-for-2 with one run. A'Zealiah Turner also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Michigan City will square off against Marquette Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Bend Riley, they will take on Argos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
