Baseball Recap: Cibola Comes Up Short

Cibola came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Kofa Kings, falling 9-3. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Kings earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Cibola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxun McNeece, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Cibola's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Kofa, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cibola will square off against Holtville at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Kofa, they will take on Yuma at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Criminals will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Kings surely won't give up without a fight.
