Softball Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

Lincolnton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the South Point Red Raiders, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for South Point, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Lincolnton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-8 win against Newton-Conover on the 28th. As for South Point, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-6 victory against North Gaston on the 28th.
