Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Grace Christian had won three straight home games and Aubrey Greenmun did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Grace Christian Warriors were the clear victor by a 39-19 margin over the Mt. Carmel Christian Academy Warriors thanks in part to Greenmun, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Harper, who posted three points along with six steals and five boards. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Mt. Carmel Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darbi Hunsberger, who scored five points. Rebekah Shifflett was another key player, putting up two points.

Grace Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Mt. Carmel Christian Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
