Baseball Recap: Make It 11 in a Row for Prairie

Prairie strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Waterloo West Wahawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 on Friday.

Prairie pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Waterloo West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coming up, Prairie is taking a road trip to take on Muscatine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waterloo West, they will welcome Wahlert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Wahawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
