Basketball Recap: Arkansas School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Arkansas School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-24 loss at the hands of the Dermott Rams. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Rams are ranked 56th).

Arkansas School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Dermott, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Arkansas School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 82-43 defeat against Brinkley on the 18th. As for Dermott, they will be home for the holidays to greet Scott Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Dermott's favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Scott Charter has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
