Volleyball Recap: Westmont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westmont can now relate to. They came up short against the Leigh Longhorns on Monday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Warriors haven't been shut out since back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-19.

Leigh found their leader in sophomore Eric Wu, who had 47 assists. Those 47 assists set a new season-high mark for Wu.

Westmont's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Leigh, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-8.

Westmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leigh, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Mountain View on the 13th.
