Recap: Carthage Bulldogs vs. Tyler HEAT
This season hasn't been kind to the Carthage Bulldogs, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a serious blow against Tyler HEAT on Friday, falling 72-45. While losing is never fun, Carthage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1305th, while Tyler HEAT is ranked 141st).
Tyler HEAT was led to victory by Jet Bell and Kedren Penny. Bell scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds, while Penny scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Grimes, who scored 8 points.
Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tyler HEAT, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Carthage is on the road again on Friday and play against Canton at 2:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Tyler HEAT, they will take on Longview at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Longview is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
