Tioga has gone 9-1 against Grant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tioga Indians will take on the Grant Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Grant took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tioga, who comes in off a win.

Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tioga beat Rapides 60-55. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grant took a blow against Franklin Parish on Friday, falling 76-40. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Tioga will need focus on slowing down L Fletcher, one of several Grant players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points. R Searcy was another key player, putting up six points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Tioga is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Everything came up roses for Tioga against Grant when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 68-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tioga since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
