Basketball Game Preview: Knox County Eagles vs. Scotland County Tigers

The Knox County Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Scotland County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotland County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Knox County, who comes in off a win.

Knox County is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest victory since January 14th on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 43-22 margin over Brashear.

Meanwhile, Scotland County came up short against North County on Monday and fell 58-51. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Raiders are ranked 133rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Scotland County and nudges their season record down to 11-14. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for Knox County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Knox County skirted past Scotland County 40-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Knox County repeat their success, or does Scotland County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
