Volleyball Recap: Mullen Wins Going Away Against Archangels Catholic

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mullen had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Archangels Catholic Defenders 3-0.

Mullen not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Archangels Catholic between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Jenna Donohoe paced Mullen's offense, picking up 13 kills. Donohoe got some help from Kalli Licking and her 31 assists. Harper Andersen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Archangels Catholic lost, don't look at Jayda Krings. Despite the final result, she had ten digs.

Mullen's win bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Archangels Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-13.

Coming up, Mullen will square off against Cambridge at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight. Archangels Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
