Softball Game Preview: Central A & M Raiders vs. Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals

The Central A & M Raiders will take on the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central A & M is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Central A & M came up short against Meridian and fell 7-3.

Gwyn Hardimon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Sophie Roe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Kayla McPeek was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Meanwhile, Warrensburg-Latham also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Argenta-Oreana by a score of 11-6. The Cardinals have struggled against the Bombers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Central A & M's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
