Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Thursday.

Lincoln saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treyton Cook, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will face off against Glenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they will square off against MOC-Floyd Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
