Recap: Summit Tigers vs. Eagle Valley Devils
The Summit Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Eagle Valley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (33), Summit still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Summit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Archambault. Despite the final result, he rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Hank Chabot, who threw for 269 yards and a touchdown.
Eagle Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keaden Lake led the charge by picking up 124 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 49 yards and a touchdown on only two passes. Caiven Lake was another key contributor, throwing for 282 yards and four touchdowns.
Summit's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Eagle Valley, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eagle Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
