It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lancaster ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the South Pointe Stallions 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 on Tuesday.

Parker McGee was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Darius Jackson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Lancaster has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for South Pointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Coming up, Lancaster will venture away from home to face off against Indian Land on Monday. As for South Pointe, they will host Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
