Baseball Recap: Dowagiac Comes Up Short

Dowagiac lost against Niles back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Chieftains lost 14-2 to the Vikings. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dowagiac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Freeman, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Dowagiac now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dowagiac will face off against Buchanan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Niles, they will square off against Sturgis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
