Baseball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dayton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Whippany Park Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dayton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Ferguson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Ferguson has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-13 otherwise.

Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Whippany Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Dayton nor Whippany Park have any future games scheduled.
