Soccer Recap: Burlington Township Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Burlington Township was not quite Moorestown's equal in the second half on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Quakers. While losing is never fun, Burlington Township can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Moorestown are ranked 30th).

This is the second loss in a row for Burlington Township and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Moorestown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.

Looking ahead, Burlington Township will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Robbinsville at 4:00 p.m. As for Moorestown, they will square off against Bishop Eustace Prep on Tuesday.
