Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miramar). They claimed a resounding 86-38 victory over the Flanagan Falcons. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Falcons are ranked 504th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miramar got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Siah Blot out in front who went 9 for 17 en route to 23 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals Blot has posted since back in December of 2024. Joshua Skinner was another key player, going 10 of 13 on his way to 23 points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Flanagan lost, don't look at Jason Carias. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Sainval, who scored seven points.

Miramar's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Flanagan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Miramar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-52 defeat against Stranahan on the 24th. Flanagan has also already played their next match, a 60-53 loss against Plantation on the 24th.
