Basketball Recap: Isaac Mcgaffey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Elma over La Center

Elma was the 65-59 winner over La Center when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Elma Eagles received a blow on Saturday as they fell 62-47 to the La Center Wildcats.

Elma's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac McGaffey, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. McGaffey's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Tanner Moe was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Elma's record is now 14-9. As for La Center, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Elma nor La Center have any future games scheduled.
