Baseball Recap: Jena Comes Up Short

Jena lost against Holy Savior Menard back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Giants fell 6-2 to the Eagles. The Giants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jena saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonas Jenkins, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Jena's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Holy Savior Menard, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Jena has already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Benton on the 11th. As for Holy Savior Menard, they will square off against Avoyelles Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
