Volleyball Recap: Dobson Comes Up Short

Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gilbert Tigers.

Dobson took Gilbert into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-12, 17-25, 15-9.

Dobson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gilbert, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dobson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Skyline at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th. Dobson is facing Skyline at the right time seeing as Skyline is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Gilbert will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Queen Creek at 5:30 p.m. on March 24th.
