Softball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the North Central Knights by a score of 4-2 on Saturday.

Northwestern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carmen Kelly, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for North Central and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Northwestern will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nation Ford at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. North Central will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Camden at 7:00 p.m. on March 12th.
