            Football Recap: Dixon Rams vs. Woodland Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Dixon had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it six. They took  a  36-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodland Wolves. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Despite the loss, Dixon still got an impressive performance from   Coleton Shipley, who threw for 317 yards and two  TDs, and also rushed for 40 yards and a pair of  scores.
As for Woodland,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Among those leading the charge was   Joe Abarca, who threw for 218 yards and two  touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards (22).  Shayaan Khan was in the mix  as well, providing Woodland with two scores.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dixon is set to  take on  their familiar foe Casa Roble  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodland will  face off against  rival Rio Linda  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
