Soccer Game Preview: Lake Stevens vs. Glacier Peak

The Lake Stevens Vikings will face off against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Stevens will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Lake Stevens proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Kamiak 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Lake Stevens' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Kamiak are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Glacier Peak unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monroe.

Lake Stevens pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Glacier Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1.

Lake Stevens beat Glacier Peak by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 1-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
