Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Raiders vs. Ridgeland Panthers
The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 13th straight loss. Their tough 86-63 loss to Ridgeland might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Southeast Whitfield County has suffered since December 15, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Hickman, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Hickman hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hill, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds.
Southeast Whitfield County's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-16. As for Ridgeland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast Whitfield County on the road again on Tuesday and play against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Ridgeland, they will square off against Ringgold at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Ringgold is ranked 314th, while Ridgeland is ranked 335th).
