Volleyball Recap: Southwest Gets the Win

Southwest won the last time they faced Pflugerville Connally and things went their way on Saturday too. The Dragons walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Among those leading the charge was Amaya Garcia, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024. Mayra Medina also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Southwest was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pflugerville Connally only served seven aces.

Southwest's record is now 4-11. As for Pflugerville Connally, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against East View on the 23rd. As for Pflugerville Connally, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Gateway College Preparatory on the 26th.
