Basketball Game Preview: Hayfork Timberjacks vs. Trinity Wolves + How To Watch

Hayfork is 1-9 against Trinity since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Hayfork knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Trinity likes a good challenge.

Hayfork is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Big Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Timberjacks blew the Cardinals out of the water with a 78-45 final score. The Timberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Levi Cavalli was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 36 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Hayfork's points. Another player making a difference was Evan Pickett, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Hayfork was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2025.

Meanwhile, Trinity came up short against Weed on Tuesday and fell 58-49. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Hayfork is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points over those games. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Hayfork beat Trinity 64-52 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Do the Timberjacks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
