Game recap: Cabell Midland High School Football Team takes down Winfield

Thanks to solid play, the senior now has nine touchdowns for the year.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Coy Pettit to Tanner Chapman in the first quarter, Cabell Midland (Ona, W. Va.) was up 43-0 at the half.

Dontae Hendricks and Kasey Thomas ran for a bunch of touchdowns for Winfield (W. Va.).

The Knights also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 20-13.



The defeat comes as a step back for Winfield, who notched a 42-19 victory over Wilson in its previous outing.

Winfield (1-1) goes up against Ripley in a Mountain State game matchup next week, while Cabell Midland (2-0) locks horns with Parkersburg also in a Mountain State game.
