Basketball Game Preview: Monarch Coyotes vs. Skyline Falcons

The Monarch Coyotes will head out on the road to square off against the Skyline Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch will be strutting in after a win while Skyline will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Monarch beat Erie 38-32.

Monarch can attribute much of their success to Charlotte Weiss, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists, and Sienna Williams, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Williams is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Monarch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Erie only pulled down four offensive boards.

Meanwhile, Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against Greeley Central, falling 59-30. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Wildcats are ranked 133rd).

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Monarch, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
