Volleyball Recap: Marshall Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marshall had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Lansing Catholic Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Redhawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Marshall had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 28-26, 25-18, 25-16.

Brynn Johnson paced Marshall's offense, picking up 26 kills. Johnson got some help from Addie Carden and her 45 assists. Brookelyn Stealy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Marshall's record is now 18-7-1. As for Lansing Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-3-1.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Gull Lake on the 29th. Lansing Catholic has also already played their next match (against Lakewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
