Volleyball Recap: Silver Creek Gets the Win

Silver Creek won the last time they faced Scottsburg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Silver Creek walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-14, 20-25, 25-19.

Franz Basener paced Silver Creek's offense, picking up 17 kills. Basener got some help from Napoleon Lankford and his 32 assists. Lucas Linderman controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Silver Creek's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Scottsburg, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Silver Creek will take on rival Floyd Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Scottsburg is set to face off against their familiar foe New Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
